That is a long way, thought maybe you were closer.
Anyway there is a large selection of used bikes there.
My cousin is looking at a '97 Heritage, the guy wants $4,500 for it, seems like a steal.

stopped by an applacian dealer near camp hill over the holidays...I wasn't impressed.

Just off the top of my head I would think that a 1997 Heritage would go for $7,500 to $8,000. That is a steal.

Either way that is low mileage. But in reality it could be much higher than what is being printed in the advertizing or on the actual odometer when you do see it for yourself.

If you are still a potential buyer and if the bike is still available have a mechanic that you know and trust do an inspection and one of the inspections I might suggest is to put a camera into the cylinder and look at the walls for cross hatch pattern. It will tell you what the true wear and life of the engine is better than any odometer that might have been changed out and does not represent the true mileage.

Here is one from Harbor Freight Tools...

http://www.harborfreight.com/digital-inspection-camera-67979.html

This one is under $20 from eBay and will use a USB connection to your laptop...

This video also shows his use on a motorcycle motor. But the view was very narrow.

Nice thing about cyberspace.  It cut a bunch of time off typical government refunds.
It was then I knew I'd had enough, Burned my credit card for fuel.   Headed out to where the pavement  turns to sand.  With a one-way ticket to the land of truth  And my suitcase in my hand. How I lost my friends I still don't understand.

Just returned from a weekend of over indulgence on shrimp, clams, wings and beer, not necessarily in that order.
Damn it was a good time, to bad I have to come back to reality.
