Planning our last road trip west. Since our fall in 2017 I have had trouble riding long distances but have decided to try one more trip, it's been two years since we have rode this far.
A couple Cortisone shots and I think I will be okay.
The plan is to ride through Montana and over the Beartooth highway into Yellowstone down to the Grand Tetons then on to Laramie where I was hoping we could meet up with Craig, AKA Webbtron, and his wife.

Sounds like a great trip.

Suggest keeping eye on the weather.  Does not take much adversity to close Beartooth Pass.

But if you can add a couple days, consider riding up to Glacier NP and the Going ToThe Sun road.  Same issue though, watch the weather.

Keep us posted on your progress.

That is a great ride. I did Beartooth, Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons a few years ago and on the way back home I stayed in Richfield UT on the same night that you were there but we didn’t know we both were overnighting in the same town.

Here is the post from that day we discovered that we both stayed the night in Richfield...

Been to Glacier at least 4 times over the years, that is where we fell coming out of the park 2017. Been over The Beartooth several times as well, probably 6 or 7, just want to do it one last time.
I am low tech so I will not be able to post anything until we return home.
Larry I don't remember Richfield, but then again I don't remember what I had for dinner last night, not joking, so if you say so I guess it happened.
Loss of memory has been getting worse this past year.

Thanks to all for the good wishes for a safe ride.
This is important since my  confidence in riding has been very low since we went down.

Home from our trip. It turned out okay although we never made our final destination. Having not ridden more than a hundred miles at any one time over the last two years trying to ride four thousand miles in one shot was ill advised. I had extreme difficulty handling the bike at low speed and getting caught in stop and go traffic was really bad.
Anyway I gave it my best shot.
Hate to say it but any future trips the bike will have to go in the truck.

It is good that you are  home, well and safe.

Remember that it is the journey and not the destination that is important.
