I recently started using REVER. I was so impressed by the technology and their integration of Butler Motorcycle Maps that I contacted the company. As a result of that we have been given a Coupon for the members to use and try out the Premium version for free for 1 month.

If you are looking for a motorcycle ride app then look no further, REVER has you covered.

The other great news is that HDBitchin now has a REVER Community on the app for you to share your rides (see the picture below). You can join our HDBitchin REVER Community regardless of your using their free version or the Premium version. For more information visit https://rever.co/ or download the app on either the Google Play Store or on the Apple Store.

Most of the features that REVER provides are free but they do offer a pro subscription called REVER Premium and with our HDBitchin coupon you can get one month free to try that level out.

I have tracked over 700 miles now using REVER. I have to report that I like it and would recommend it. I used the REVER app on last weekend's Alpine AZ ride.

If you just downloaded the app here is what you can do for free.

You don't have to pay for the Premium subscription to use it.

REVER is running a 50% off coupon that is good thru Monday for their Premium level subscription.

Use DISCOUNT CODE: MemorialDay18

When I started this thread I purchased a Premium level subscription (this past April). And if you are wondering if the coupon can be used for renewals, the good news is the coupon is also good for renewals as well as new purchases.

BTW the app works great in my opinion.

Worried about battery life on your smartphone when using the REVER app? This link explains a few things about how to maximize your battry life.

In a nutshell, when using REVER to track your ride put your phone in Airplane mode. Then turn the display off and put the phone in your pocket. It will track your ride, I know, that is what I do and it works. Modern smartphones have a GPS that when the phone is switched to Airplane mode they will still track your complete route and the battery will last as the GPS tracking uses very little battery.

When I rode back the 130 miles from Too Broke For Sturgis last weekend I tracked my ride back and listen to music that was in the memory of my phone and when I got home I still had 99% of my battery available.

Give the app a try and join the HDBitchin Community that we have inside the REVER app.

REVER recently introduced a GPS Security module that works with the current REVER app. Together the module which installs on your motorcycle and the app work to provide security for your motorcycle. They call it RLINK.

It monitors the location of your parked motorcycle and can alert you if it is moved or stolen. It also boasts a PIN that you can give law enforcement to track your stolen bike for theft recovery.

Here is a short video from REVER on using the weather features in the app.

Another quick video from REVER showing the map layers. Yes they have traffic!

And a ride planning feature that you can build a ride with in the app.

@j f go

I use the app manually, starting and stopping my ride tracking the old fashioned way. I don’t use the GO Beacon that was discussed in this thread which was designed to automatically start and stop the tracking.

REVER GO Beacon Testing

Everything else about the app works just fine but IMO the GO Beacon has issues.

Just realized another feature while using the REVER app this morning on my ride to work.

Back in April of this year I bought a handlebar mounted phone grip made by TechMount. Here is the link to the thread where I shared that purchase.

Usually I start my ride tracking with the REVER app and just put the phone in my pocket. Today I started tracking and slipped the phone in the gripper. The other thing I did was in the REVER app settings was to select “Disable Screen Lock” which keeps the screen in constant display.

What I saw was traffic reports on my travel route. I kind of knew it had this feature but I had not used it until now. Nice feature!
