Yep.  Really bummed.  Looking at a full tear down and $$$ for a new case.  Not sure what caused it.   Tooth busted off cam and ground everything up or the $14 roller bearing failed and started it all.  Only thing I didn’t take apart.  Depressing.  She’ll sit for awhile for sure.  Wife and I really enjoyed it.  Sucks.  Makes me want to puke.

So sorry to see that happen. I really thought you had covered all the bases. I truly feel your pain. :( All you can do is put it behind you and start again. I send you good vibs and hope you get started sooner than later. Good luck @biggum. (I've got a pretty good idea that this won't deter you.) &{

Well, I found this.  It’s a 73.  S&S fuel pump, probably a cam but not sure what so I might have issues with lift, looks to have an S&S crank, sifton lifters, and who knows what else.  Hmmmmm

So I’m leaning towards that block with the S&S stuff on it.

I need to confirm the cam-any way to do that in its current condition other than pulling the cam and checking numbers?

I also need to check stroke, anyway to do that in its current state?

Usually you run the piston down to the bottom of the cylinder then measure to the top of the cylinder and that gives you the stroke. with out the cylinders on you could run one cylinder all the way down use a straight edge on the case and measure to the crank or a rod bolt run it to the top and measure to the same spot and that should give you the stroke or real close.
Sorry not sure how to tell what the cam is without getting the numbers from the cam.

Thanks @bc45

Correction on the lifters, they are velva touch units.  About $1000 new.
