Great modification @FerrousBueller !

  @WantMore,  Thank You!

  @J F Go,  I like your idea, heel resting on board, ball of foot on peg.  That's another option she'll have to try.  For my bike, (2014 Ultra, FLHTCU) Part #4353 is for a chrome set, Part #7059 for black.  On this page: Kuryakyn Adjustable Passenger Pegs you will find options for your bike, including accomodations for aftermarket exhaust.

  @HDBitchin, Thanks, you'll be able to ask The Princess how they worked next month!

Cheers,
Ferrous

  "Blah, Blah, Blah, etc. etc..."

2)  A little forward of center.  This is the position the Princess prefers.

  On the first leg of the trip the pegs were adjusted forward at each stop.  After she had a chance to try each position, I asked her, What position do you want/like?  She said, "2". (illustrated above)

  At the next stop I asked again, She said, "2".  I asked her several more times, but, the answer was always the same, "2".  After a day and a half, without moving the pegs, I asked another question, "Couldn't you try another position for a little while and make me think I got my money's worth"?  She said "No".  That's the good news.

  The bad news is the left peg is now locked in position 2 after about 1700 miles.  Part of the locking mechanism is jammed and won't retract with the rest of the lock.

  I've contacted the seller to send them back or exchange them.  I'll try another set but so far they work well for her, when they work.

Ferrous

Passenger foot boards have always been better than a peg, the adjustable travel pegs Ferrous installed are the Best!!!  Being able to adjust my feet/legs in another position made a big difference. Having to stop for a break versus let’s keep going another hour...I’m sure you can guess which one he prefers to hear. Ready to go again any time.

👍  I will pat mine on the seat when I get back on Monday.  I put about 1,000 miles on my Michigan bike while there.
