It's probably painful to stuff a man-bun under a helmet, too.  🙄

I went back to the above ChaseOnTwoWheels video that @FerrousBueller posted to see if my comment was given a reply from Chase or someone else. I couldn’t find my comment. Then I realized I was not logged into my HDBitchin YouTube account. But even not logged in I should be able to read all public comments. So I logged in and my comment was visible. Logged out and it goes missing again. So what has happened is Chase has done a “soft delete” that allows me to see it when I am logged in but no one else. This way I don’t question my comment being missing.

So this brings up the question should we trust these YouTube “influencers”?  I posted a factual correction to Chase’s video and he takes it out of public view. Basically it made him look bad and he doesn’t like that.

Screen captures below show logged in and logged out views of video comments.

Logged in as HDBitchin and the comment appears…

Logged out and the comment disappears…

Conclusion, you likely shouldn’t trust YouTube Influencers.
I'm getting too old to keep kick-starting my pan so I decided to fabricate an electric starter mount. There's a couple on the market ranging from $1800-$3000. They use special starter motors and drives. I designed a mount that uses a Sportster 1981-2014 starter and drive that cost about $110-$370. If your clutch basket doesn't have a ring gear you purchase one for $30-$60. The tin inner and outer primary need to be notched in the back. I haven't gotten to notching the primary yet, still testing the prototype mount to insure it will work properly. I will post pictures and update them as it progresses. I'm thinking about marketing this item if all goes well. The complete kit is estimated to sell for $800.00. Save a thousand dollars and replacement  starter is a stock Sportster starter

@Rider Ron sent me the first announcement of the Sportster S stating that one might be my next bike.  Didn't think so at the time but with the later announcements, perhaps.

Ride a 2016 Sportster Custom now, A good, solid, dependable ride now that a few teething issues were worked out  What I look for is a more traditional look, perhaps because at my advanced age I'm looking back to what I liked but missed in my youth.  Fenders, upright seating, comfort on long rides, dependability, reasonable price,  all count high and exclude an awful lot of current cycles. Harley announced that other Sportster models are forthcoming, and the video shows a few teaser shots of models that may fit with my likes.  We shall see.

Thanks for sharing.
