Another high tech helmet is coming.

Here is the link to their website...

The company appears to be involved in the microprocessor business when I looked at their main website which is here...

If you missed the other threads on high tech helmets here are the links to those that we have on the forum...

No pricing or schedule of availability on this Encephalon helmet? Must be very early in the design if information like that can't be shared.

The name sucks IMO. Here is the meaning below. I doubt that most people will ever look it up so their cool reference to the brain will fall on deaf ears. To most the name will just sound like a dumb ass name for a helmet IMO.

Quote
encephalon

The area of central nervous system that includes all higher nervous centers, enclosed within the skull and continuous with the spinal cord; the brain.

I don't care for the name either.

Maybe they had a bunch of medical students in the product focus group that were studying to be neurosurgeons.  ;)  To the average person (biker) the name Encephalon means nothing and for that reason it won't be memorable.

I mean't to mention this earlier...

I have a friend that works for a BMW Dealership in San Jose, CA.  He tells me that BMW is planning to introduce a HUD type helmet in the near future.  I've taken a casual stroll through the internet, I can't find a concrete link so far.

Cheers!

I'd like to see the first one be a novelty helmet just because I'm contrary and perhaps even anti-establishment, with a dash of anti-social.
It was then I knew I'd had enough, Burned my credit card for fuel.   Headed out to where the pavement  turns to sand.  With a one-way ticket to the land of truth  And my suitcase in my hand. How I lost my friends I still don't understand.

BMW makes a high tech motorcycle so I would bet they could trick out a helmet.

Like I could afford one anyway. I'll stick with aluminium foil.  Hahaha

I can't stop laughing!  Makes me want to kick my product research and development team in the butt.   No wonder we are behind schedule!  Hahaha!
